Our career change dogs are highly trained, intelligent dogs that have been released from our program for minor behavioral or temperamental reasons that make them unsuitable for service work. These well-behaved dogs are available for adoption, offering an opportunity to adopt a well-trained family companion.

CAPTAIN [pending]
Breed: Labrador Retriever/Bernese Mountain
Weight: 63 lbs
Captain is a striking boy with brains, energy, and enthusiasm to spare. He turns 2 in November and is incredibly intelligent and eager to work — the kind of dog who thrives when he has a job, activity, or adventure to focus on.
Captain would do best as the only dog in the home so he can soak up all the attention and guidance from his person. He’s not a couch potato and is looking for an active, engaged owner who will enjoy training, outdoor
activities, and continuing to channel his energy in positive ways.
ZION
Breed: Labrador Retriever/Bernese Mountain
Weight: 79 lbs
Zion is a sweet, loving, 2 1/2 year old boy with a goofy personality that will keep you smiling. He loves playing with his toys and can be a little mischievous at times—especially when he decides to grab a shoe and make a run for it!
Zion enjoys going for walks and exploring, but he’s just as happy relaxing and hanging out at home with his people once he settles into a new place. He would love a family who can appreciate both his playful side and his love of simply being near his humans.
Zion can be very dog-selective, so he’ll need a family who understands his boundaries and is committed to helping him succeed. He would do best in a home with children who are dog-savvy and understand how to respectfully interact with dogs.
